I was not aware of the vast number of subjects available through Wikis. I found a one with book revues to bookmark.

Thing 9 - Collaborating
I have used Google Docs several times. A disadvantage is seems is that collaborators all need to have google accounts. But it is great for my own documents that I start at my work computer and then am at the reference computer. I can just keep working on the same document (like story time plans) without saving each time to a flash drive. I love that aspect.
Creating the slideshow
I thought I was creating an account for Picture Trail, but ended up in "smilebox" which was OK - but then yet another account! There were too many choices, and still not exactly what I wanted for my slide show. I might come back to this when I have more time. A fun way to display each of the summer library program events.

Thing 7: Communication Tools
I already had experience with several of these tools: e-mail from a couple of different hosts; chat - not something I would use often for work in children's services at a public library, but I can see it for reference; Texting - I don't have a cell phone, but even if I did I don't think I would add on this feature. Webinar - I have participated in a group webinar, but have also signed up for one personally through Minitex. Meebo is cool, but again not something I would use in children's services at this time.

Thing 6 - Create a Trading Card - done
This was easier to do after the "toy" I created in thing 5. Still, when I saved my creation, I had no idea where it saved to, and so redid the card and shared it directly from the website where it was created.
